Meet the Author

Hi, I’m Kirsha!

I’m a fantasy author who believes books should be a portal you can step through and forget the real world for a while. My first published work, Zoey Anne Lesley, appeared in The Leaf Journal in 2012 and won a national story-writing competition. My debut novel, Seven Trials of Aloria, was just published November 1, 2025 - and let’s just say, if you enjoy dark, twisty adventures with high stakes, you might want to clear your weekend.

I started writing in high school, thanks to a creative writing course that cracked open my imagination. My dad’s an author too, and his support (plus a lifetime of devouring fantasy novels) pushed me to create the kinds of worlds I always wished I could visit. I thought ‘If I can read every day, why couldn’t I write every day?’ So that’s what I started doing!

Outside of writing, I’m usually reading, cooking, tending to my houseplants, or rebinding books. I live on a farm in Ontario with my husband, our four-year-old daughter, two cats, four dogs, and a flock of lively chickens and ducks. We’re also counting down to the arrival of our second daughter.

When I write, I use a tool called Novel Factory - mainly because it comes with a checklist that makes my Type A brain very happy. I also bounce ideas off my sister, who is endlessly patient with my plot twists.

At the heart of everything I write is one goal: to give you a story you can fall into so deeply that when you close the book, it feels like you’re leaving a place you’ve actually been.
